About Sujjan Saroop
After dabbling in and out of Yoga classes for more than a decade, Sujjan Saroop decided, in December 1999, to suspend judgment for an intensive, full-month exploration… and he has maintained a regular practice since.
Having travelled and lived in a variety of places, he experienced and practiced dozens of Yoga styles, from A (Ashtanga) to Y (Yin). He was drawn to, and is continuously captivated by, Kundalini Yoga – through his and his friends’ and students’ experiences of its efficiency and effectiveness; through the Naad, or “sound current” used in Kundalini Yoga; through proficient, compassionate and wise teachers; through the community connectedness that Kundalini Yoga engenders; and through the grace of Divine Consciousness.
Consistent personal and group Kundalini Yoga practice brought profound transformations to Sujjan’s life in multiple dimensions – including living more directly, more confidently, more calmly, and more meaningfully. He completed Kundalini Research Institute’s Level One Teacher Training at Radiance Yoga Studio (Alexandria, VA) in 2012 and completed the five Kundalini Yoga Level Two Transformation courses (Alexandria, VA; Washington DC; Espanola, NM) in 2017. Additionally, Sujjan has advanced through the Kundalini Research Institute’s Aquarian Academy – a multi-year, multi-step, multi-dimensional training and development program for Kundalini Yoga trainers – and he has earned the designation as Professional Trainer.
Sujjan Saroop witnesses in his clients and students their transformations – of decreased pain, increased flexibility and balance, and enhanced grace and ease of movement – of greater intuition, security, creativity, and connectedness, to Self and to community – of profound healing – of living more joyfully, gracefully, and lovingly. Sujjan Saroop’s sessions and classes energize and relax, affirm and support, ground and elevate, strengthen and loosen up… and help his clients and students connect to the spaces in which there is wholeness, integration and synchronicity.
His spiritual name – Sujjan Saroop – means “Listening to, and Becoming Completely Immersed in, the Wisdom of Your Soul.” Sujjan Saroop is honored to share the opportunity for you to experience the technologies of Kundalini Yoga – known as “the Yoga of Awareness” – to enable you to become aware of and remain immersed in your own inner wisdom of living “ease-fully”
Testimonials
Sujjan always gives avuncular-type of practical, down-to-earth advice. He is attentive and asks follow-up questions that, in themselves, bring me insight to my situations. I have consulted with Sujjan many times and highly recommend him!

I have so many positive thoughts I could share about Sujjan Saroop. My sessions with him have been very effective. At a time when I was grieving from the past and was physically and emotionally exhausted (and could not be explained medically), I had a session with Sujjan and stuff shifted. I could not have done this on my own. I now have the energy to continue working, and I believe this was due to a huge emotional clearing I had by working with Sujjan. I think many people can benefit tremendously from Sujjan’s work, experience and love. I highly recommend him!

Let me start off by saying, I don’t write reviews. During my Kundalini Yoga teacher training, I was introduced to Sujjan Saroop. Unfortunately, in the months that followed the training, a close family member was diagnosed with cancer and was dying. Sujjan guided me through the process with care, respect and holiness. He worked with me so well that I continued working with him on an ongoing basis. He has helped me to be a better teacher and student. He guides me with love, care and devotion. He is an excellent teacher and Yoga therapist, and I am truly blessed.

Sujjan Saroop’s steady spirit creates an environment that puts one “at ease.” His calm demeanor and heart of service shines through as he graciously holds space. I felt very supported and heard during our sessions together. Sujjan’s years of experience, extensive studies in the healing fields, and intuition are keys to the wisdom he offers. His clear guidance is a beacon of light that helped me to gain clarity and strength on my journey inward. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with Sujjan!

Sujjan Saroop views learning as a lifelong endeavor – he will always be a student, even when he is teaching and sharing what he has learned!
Sujjan Saroop is a student and practitioner of Sat Nam Rasayan – a meditative healing practice, in the Kundalini Yoga lineage, that provides space and time for Consciousness to enter and to allow the body-mind-spirit to relax into its natural, healed state of ease and wisdom. Sujjan Saroop has been to dozens of Sat Nam Rasayan workshops since 2015, and he was blessed to be able to participate in Six-Day Immersion Retreats in both 2018 and 2019.
He is also a student of KM Yoga Therapy Training – this training uses world views from both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic while also incorporating the theoretical underpinnings of energetic anatomy and physiology – these lead the practitioner to employ specific interventions to help bring harmony to the physical, mental, emotional and energetic bodies.
